Privacy Policy — Vacuum: Flat Belly

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Vacuum: Flat Belly app ("Vacuum", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account identifier. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple user identifier. If you choose to share them, we may receive your name and email address. Guests are assigned an anonymous identifier instead.
• Practice progress. Your in-app activity — completed sessions, total practice time, and completion dates — is stored to sync your progress.
• Usage analytics. Firebase Analytics receives events about app launches, practice sessions, reminders, and purchase and restore flows. These events are associated with your app user identifier, whether you use the app as a guest or are signed in.
• Onboarding answers (version 1.8 and later). The first-launch questionnaire asks for gender (or "prefer not to say"), year of birth, height, weight and whether you already practise. Year of birth, height and weight stay on your device and are used only to show your plan. Your gender (male, female or unspecified) is sent to RevenueCat to choose which version of the subscription screen you see, and together with your practice experience is included in the onboarding-completed event sent to Firebase Analytics.
• In-app suggestions (version 1.7 only). Version 1.7 sent our suggestion service (Tailmap) the names of recent in-app events, coarse practice statistics (number of sessions, total minutes, the hour you usually practice, whether a reminder is on) and a pseudonymous identifier derived from your app user identifier by a one-way hash. No name, email, Apple identifier or precise dates were sent. This feature was removed in version 1.7.1; later versions do not contact the service.
• Basic technical data. Standard device/diagnostic information processed by our service provider to keep the app running.

How we use it

• To provide the app's core features and save your progress across launches and devices.
• To maintain reliability and fix problems.
• To understand feature adoption, how often people return to practice, and how purchase and restore flows work.
• To show a practice plan and a subscription screen that fit you, based on your onboarding answers.
• In version 1.7 only: to suggest a next step inside the app and to measure whether these suggestions help, by comparing with a randomly chosen group of users who did not see them.

We do not use your data for tracking across other companies' apps or websites, we do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal data.

Purchases and subscriptions

Vacuum offers an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. To manage subscription entitlements, our service provider RevenueCat receives your app user identifier and purchase receipt data, and, from version 1.8, the gender you chose during onboarding, which selects the version of the subscription screen. The identifier may belong to a guest or signed-in user. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase Authentication and Realtime Database to authenticate accounts and store your progress, and Firebase Analytics for the usage analytics described above. Their processing is governed by Firebase's privacy terms. Subscription management is provided by RevenueCat.

In version 1.7 only, in-app suggestions were provided by our own service Tailmap, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Frankfurt). To choose a suggestion it sent the de-identified information described above — never your pseudonymous identifier — to TypeSafe, Inc. (United States), which provides the decision model and states that it does not train on customer data, and to Amazon Bedrock (Amazon Web Services, European Union), which drafted suggested reminder times. Suggestion records are kept only to measure whether suggestions helped. Version 1.7.1 and later do not use this service.

Data retention & deletion

Your progress is kept while your account is active. Signed-in users can delete their account and saved practice progress in the app through Account → Delete account. For other data access or deletion requests, contact us at the address below.

Children

Vacuum is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your choices

You can use the app as a guest without signing in. You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time.
